No, Departies does not handle the remains of the deceased. Departies are held in addition to, or in place of traditional services. Put simply: we plan celebrations, not funerals.

Anytime. If you are having traditional funeral services such as a viewing and/or burial services, we recommend scheduling your After Party a week or two later, or even a little longer. (But we can handle almost any schedule, including the day of your traditional services.) In some cases, you might choose to limit the initial services to a smaller group of family and close friends, while inviting a larger group to the big After Party. Some even choose to schedule an After Party up to a year later.

If you are planning a Here-After Party, where the guest of honor will be in attendance, obviously the timing is totally up to you.

Here is what is always included in your After Party or Here-After Party planning:

• Securing your event location - you help pick the location and we'll take care of the rest.

• Sending out invitations to your guests - just let know who to invite and we will send out invitations. If you'd like to make it public, we can make bigger social media announcements too.

•  Food & Beverage Service. See our Party Services page for more information, including all of our optional party services.

• Music (selected with your input), utensils/glasses, party decorations, seating/tables, and Departies staff on hand to help.

Absolutely. Much like you might create living will or pre-purchase a burial plot, you can plan your After Party now and designate a time period after your passing when you'd like to have the party held. This takes all the burden off your loved ones at the time of your passing, whenever it may be... even if it's many, many years down the road.
